Bharat Raksha Manch (BRM), an RSS affiliate, today blamed the local Muslims for the “illegal settlement” of immigrants from Bangladesh and Myanmar in Jammu region.
The right wing organisation alleged that the Muslim organisations in Jammu have been assisting the Rohingya and Bangladeshi refugees “just to change the demography of Jammu region as was done in Kashmir after ousting the Kashmiri Pandits from their homeland.”
“They (the Muslim organisations) want Jammu to be another Kashmir. And to make this happen, they are helping the refugees in establishing their shanties, colonies; providing them necessary documents like aadhar, ration cards and other facilities,” the RSS affiliate said.
“But their sinister designs would be opposed tooth and nail by the patriotic bodies like Bharat Raksha Manch,” it said.
On the conclusion of its 3-day-long national executive committee meet here, BRM convener, Suryakant Ji Kelkar said the Manch has passed a resolution in its meeting in respect of early deportation of Rohingya Muslims and other foreign nationals “illegally” staying near the sensitive and vital installations like railway tracks, bridges, airport and defence establishments.
He said the Rohingya immigrants staying near defence establishments “have become a threat to the security of the nation, particularly Jammu region.”
Kelkar also suspected the role of Rohingya refugees in stone pelting on the Sunjwan Army camp recently.
“Such incidents should not be taken for granted as attempts are being made by none other than the Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir to create a fear among the Hindus in the region,” the BRM leader said.
He said that some “well off and politically connected people” are helping the Rohingya and Bangladeshi refugees in Jammu as “by changing the demography of Jammu, they want to establish the Islamic rule in entire Jammu and Kashmir.”
Kelkar said, “They want such legislators in power who will openly raise slogans in favour of Pakistan but till the bodies like BRM are here, their attempts would be foiled.”
